Avenoir Artist Management and Consultancy (AAMC) was formed in the early part of 2015 due to an amalgamation between two existing entertainment companies - ARD UK Entertainment and Black Ice Productions.
The merger was formed in direct partnership due to directors Andy Devaney and Martin West’s passion and desire to form the most diverse company the entertainment industry would ever come across.
Since the formation the two have combined to form what is now considered one of the most up and coming music and entertainment companies in the UK and Europe.
With over 40 years of music production, media knowledge and A&R experience from various sectors of the entertainment industry.
Avenoir now present a company whose focus is on the management and development of their artists either young or old whilst breaking down any diversity barriers that may still exist within the entertainment industry
Director of Artists and Repertoire & PRODUCER FOR ARTISTS
Martin has 20 years of experience under his belt working within the music industry. With diverse influences such as early Hip Hop through to Electro, House, Rock, Soul, Jungle and Drum and Bass it led him to work with, alongside and for the likes of Robin Millar (Sade, Randy Crawford) and Scott Storch (Dr Dre), Estelle, 2001 MOBO winners Street Politiks and The END’s, Ben Ofoedu (Phats & Small), London Roots, Coree Richards (Damage), Anton ‘Romero’ Gordon, Wayne Marshall (G-Spot), Fee Gonzales, Mark Hill (Artful Dodger), Shahin Badar (The Prodigy) and most notably one of Roc Nation’s most exciting recent signings Sam ‘Romans’.
As a musician in the early 90’s he played Bass in the indie folk group Paperfish and then Hear Lies a Crime. Whilst doing this his other love for the technical and studio side of music brought him to form Criminal Set with his childhood friend, the late Tariq Ahmed and in 1993 their Jungle EP ‘Dreamscape’ found critical acclaim in the clubs and raves of England and has been attributed to one of the early pre-cursors of what we now know as Drum and Bass.
Not long after this and with his passion for different types and genres of music Martin formed Konkrete Productions with his close friend and talented sound engineer and guitarist Jim McNeilly. The two of them went on to record over 500 songs and remixes that spanned a decade.
Still producing and directing selective projects that include Black Ice and Koercive, Martin is also directing much of his energy to developing and cultivating a new generation of artists, songwriters and producers here at Avenoir.
